The company began its journey of manufacturing custom-designed gaskets in the early 2000s, developing over time a notable know-how for use in the various industrial sectors that make up the market.

Subsequently, it developed a wide range of sealing profiles, pursuing innovation and improvement of the production process on filling and bottling machines, also through the use of materials suitable for contact with food and beverages.

He constantly collaborates with companies born and rooted in the territory (Food Valley), which become important realities also at an international level; the continuous search for cutting-edge solutions has allowed him to deeply implement his knowledge in the food sector.

In 2005, within a few months of the issuing of the framework regulation EC 1935/2004, the research and development department of UNIVERSALFLEX commissions the CHERRIES (certification and research laboratory) to carry out tests on the elastomers used for the production of turned sleeve gaskets; thus the food division and the production department of gaskets intended for the Food & Beverage industry were born.

In compliance with the strictest food regulations, it obtains certification MOCHA and has currently carried out multiple specific and global migration tests on a very wide range of materials: PTFE (also loaded with PEEK, EKONOL, RULON-J, etc.), MVQ, EPDM, H-PU (red, neutral and blue), etc.

Compliance with the provisions of the Regulation CE 1935/2004, 10/2011 and 2023/2006, in addition to the already acquired compliance with the FDA Food & Drugs Administration standard, establishes the possibility of creating seals with materials suitable for food contact or materials and objects in contact with food MOCA.
